I’ve always tried to avoid that formula as much as possible! I make them write out big tables just so I don’t have to see it 🙈 I know what you mean about the challenge of mixed classes with this kind of percentage work. Some of them can do it in their sleep but others REALLY need the practice.

How do you set it out in a table? My group has students who also do further maths, alongside students who took GCSE a year ago and got a 5, so there's a big spread. Although in a lot of ways it's a great leveller, as much of the finance stuff is relevant and new to everyone.
