If they want it, they will get it. I had a cat growing up that stole my huge piece of chicken. He really wanted more people food after becoming diabetic. He would even eat small pieces of canteloupe from time to time.

These paintings just beautifully highlight the opportunistic nature of cats. (Which is a part of why we love them so much - that cheekiness is hard to resist.)
