Engaging with a dangerous predator. Photo from my collection, ca. 1950s. According to the back this is “Hazel and Warnie”.

In the opposite side of the ottoman is a shiny, shorthaired black cat that has both forepaws excitedly braced on the edge of the ottoman, ducking down slightly as if hiding from the mouse.
