Surprisingly modern looking oil painting of a brown tabby cat snoozing on the ground with some small, delicate branches with green leaves above it and inching into the painting from the sides. Many western paintings of this era tended to be quite heavy and done in layers of oil paint. By comparison this is very airy and summery and has the light, ethereal feeling of a watercolor.

The cat has an almost concerned look on its face, as if it turned to look at the source of some noise.
