Interacting with kittens has many rewards, but I've long thought that the greatest reward for raising a kitten is that you then get to have an adult cat! Now THAT'S worth the effort :-)

Then there are those supreme moments when a grown-up cat has a delightful, momentary kit-fit full of kitten energy, nonsense, & hilarity. Just as suddenly, it's over like it never happened. Which is why cellphone video capability was invented.

They can sure wear you out! I swore I would never raise another one, and then last spring went out and adopted another baby. They really are magical, and grow up far too fast.
