I already use IG to stay in touch with IRL friends and family, the things I talk or write about while microblogging is not stuff they’re interested in nor is it what I necessarily want to tie my name to. So I chose here. I’m sure most feel the same way, they don’t want random aunts in their feed (+)

Another big reason is simply because it’s Meta and that rubs some people the wrong way. The ads, the preference to influencer content over organic engagement, the presence of people less used to the online world (the “commoners” as some would say), all of that bothers the average BR Twitter user.
