If I had to sum up my critique of @nytimes.com it's basically that they grade Democrats as though they're defending a dissertation, while they grade Republicans as though they're elementary school students with severe behavioral problems.

Which is justified, in a way, but they ought to make it clear that's what they're doing, and why it makes sense.

Every news org treats the Democrats as adults because Democrats want to govern. The major outlets asked why Dems didn’t save McCarthy. Why would they? On the other hand, the GOP is a circus act and the media relies on them for entertainment.
