NHL history with Canadian History Ehx! The youngest NHL player in history was barely old enough to drive a car when he suited up for the Bruins.

Armand “Bep” Guidolin holds the record for being the youngest NHL player in history.
Born in Thorold, Ontario in 1925, he was called up to the Boston Bruins on Nov. 12, 1942 at the age of 16 years, 11 months.
In his NHL career with Boston, Detroit and Chicago from 1942 to 1944 and 1945 to 1952, he had 278 points in 519 games.
He later coached Bobby Orr on the Oshawa Generals. Guidolin also coached the Bruins from 1972 to 1974, the Kansas City Scouts from 1974 to 1975 and the Edmonton Oilers in 1976-77.
