Right? There's so little public visibility into these kinds of industrial uses of media, it's easy to miss that they even happened.

Had a similar experience when I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a small-capacity pre-SDHC SD card for something... only to find out they're still made for industrial equipment. Enough stuff was manufactured before SDHC came out and is going to get used for decades.
