The amaryllis bulbs I bought last year (loose bulbs being sold off before Christmas) just keep on giving! The red and white one has just started flowering and is spectacular.

that’s good, lots of our garden is left wild but after going to a talk about solitary bees and insects last week I thought they need all the help they can get.

Tidying up the beds and borders but this year I’m leaving the dead stems on the soil around the plants. It’s an experiment and hopefully kind to wildlife.

Vicobold Letterpress in working order, looking for a new home (it’s in Norfolk)

One of the more unusual objects I have to find a home for: a Vicobold letterpress, electric powered, in working order. My Mum used this for printing up until about 15 years ago. It would be great to see it being used by a new owner.

First make using my new sewing machine … I can’t believe how much easier and quicker it is compared to the old machine.
