Kamala Harris has vowed to toss aside the filibuster in the vote for abortion rights. Montana Democrat Jon Tester says he’ll challenge that. If he survives.

Tester killed the DREAM Act. So Obama had to do an executive order, which makes Dreamers continually vulnerable to Republicans getting into the White House and deporting them. Thanks Tester!
I have no idea whether Jon Tester believes that or not, but he *has to* say that to be re-elected in Montana.
It’s a great way to for her to test if someone is really a democrat or republican. She’s making them own up
I’m tempted to ask what their fucking problem is, and why they insist on clinging to this archaic bloody absurdity. Not that either of our Houses can talk, mind. We could have a modern legislature in a compatible setting instead of paying billions to maintain premises they can’t fit in all at once.
Democrats will REALLY need his seat if Harris wants to do anything, including confirming Supreme Court justices, and he needs to draw some lines between himself and her if he's to have any chance at reelection in his state.
That’s why it takes 50 *actual* democrats to get anything done. Manchin, Sinema, Tester can’t be relied on.
Damn, and I just contributed to his campaign.
For context: 73% of Americans say getting rid of the Senate filibuster would help fix the political system. By party, 84% of Democrats and 64% of Republicans agree. (h/t Frank Luntz)
Jon Tester is another example of how "Blue No Matter Who" was & is a flawed strategy to fighting rightwing extremism - if the blue won't do what he's elected to, he's no better for you
Tester announced in August he won’t endorse Harris/Walz. And he’s behind anyway. If he had a teaspoon of guts and a thimbleful of integrity, he’d go all in on his party’s nominee against an insurrectionist.
