The UK Conservatives seem to be strapped for cash. The final two candidates have to donate £150k each to the party (CCHQ) which is on top of the £50k the final four have already donated. And everyone wonders why top Tories are so easily bought by donors.

So they basically buy the position...nothing to see here then.

So one of them will lose 150k and any sense of pride? While the other will lose the 150k and the leadership race. 👍

Whose going to give them money now that it won't buy access for at least five years.

That’s a huge, positively vast amount of cash, for most people.
