I have a class I bike and I feel like the fact you have to pedal pretty seriously to get up against the 20mph cap makes you take that speed more seriously than you would if it was throttle only.

The issue here to me is the huge difference between classes of e-bikes and lumping them in together. Class I (pedal assist only and capped at 20mph) is completely different from class III (throttle allowed and capped at 28mph). I’m sure some people find ways to disable caps too.
