We had to wait 5 years to have #2 due to childcare / housing costs. Given I was 40 by then we could have easily ended up not being able to. I do think sorting childcare / housing costs would help at least at the margins - and also just improve people’s lives in the meantime…

Oh completely: housing costs is a huge issue. And definitely childcare, but not only childcare framed around a fast return to work! The increasing flexibility around part time options in work is good and could be improved with working culture shifts.
