It's been a busy first week back in Westminster after the Conference Recess, from the Chamber to the makeshift podcast studio in my Parliamentary office, and all the many committee rooms in between!

Doing a clear out and cackling at an old notebook I found from a retreat thing I went on a few years back, which is just sparse notes on hot tubs that are also kosher mikvahs, whether we are "haunted by God", and "psalms about lamp-posts". This notebook has inexplicably moved house with me 3 times.

A fascinating visit to Thomas Hardy Bottling Group in Burtonwood today, to better understand their operation, hear their plans for growth, and to discuss DRS/EPR. Hugely impressive seeing the scale and technology involved, with capacity for 500 million+ bottles and cans leaving the site a year 🤯
Some cracking cakes on offer at the Macmillan Coffee Morning at the St Elphin's Park Pavilion Tea Room today ☕💚
