I feel this so much. Took me a good year and a half before I signed up but everyone's here now. And it's nice :)
He stayed behind. Grieving, raging.... plotting. He suddenly remembered the scroll Vellioth left him. Maybe if he could complete the ritual, walk in the sun, stop being the monster she thought he was. She might be able to take him back?
When he got his bearings, she was already out the door. He tried to follow her, but the sun was already rising. He had to go back inside before he would turn to cinders.
Until one unfortunate night, where she wanted to surprise him by visiting the palace unannounced. She found him, surrounded by drained, bloodless corpses. His eyes glowing bright red, his fangs buried deep in the neck of his current meal. She was shocked and just... ran. He couldn't stop her.
He treated her like a queen. And she was much in love with him. Despite their different backgrounds, they were extremely compatible. Their love was something real. Cazador never thought it were possible, but for the time they were together... he felt alive. Happy. But only when she was around.
Of course, they met mostly at night. And rarely went out together. If they did, Cazador watched over Hinata like a hawk. Whoever even looked at her funny would get drained in a dark alley later that same night.
