Working in a prototype one of the issues on the input interpreter was side specific input priority due to the way I programmed it. Meaning QC to the right always took priority. I fixed by making a different list of inputs depending on which way you were facing. This solution sucked, but it worked.
That's what my engine does under the hood too🤣 all moves have a Right Side input and a Left Side input (one is obtained from manipulating the other to switch L/R when the moves are loaded), so that I can check the correct one based on the direction the character faces😅 dirty but hey, it works.
