I can think of no clearer evidence that voting in Texas is rigged for the Republicans than Ted Cruz continuing to be re-elected. Nobody that painfully unlikable could do what he's done without a suppressed vote.
Oh, sure. I compare it to the event comics. There's a main miniseries that, ideally, tells a whole story that can tangentially involve hundreds of characters, some of whom get a crossover issue in their own series, and while you don't need those to get the story, they do add depth.

I agree with that; between Endgame and COVID the MCU floundered a bit.
It only feels that way because you know it's a follow-up to something else, but typically they only leave things hanging if they either don't affect the plot or they're planning a direct sequel.
For all the razzing about every Marvel project being a commercial for the next one, they're *also* commercials for the previous ones and that's one of the most accurate parts of the adaptation.
This is how Marvel (and DC) have always worked *best*, though. They tell you exactly what you need to know to understand what you need to know and gesture or point directly toward other comics you can read about the characters you don't know.
I loved it, but more importantly I think it has the perfect structure for a superhero story.
The jingle for that still pops into my head.
