6. Final Fantasy VIII The ps1 era of FF means a lot to me, but FF8 stands to this day, ad my favorite in the series (minus 14). The magic military school plot, focus on romance & magic, and hot, edgy protag. I was eating it up in my youth. Squall remains one of the few protagonists on my favs list

7. Signalis When I say I love games that make me feel like shit at the end, this is what I mean. A total love-letter to classic survival horror fans, especially Silent Hill fans. Beautiful visuals, devastating plot, astounding score, and the terrifying wonder of Love. A masterpiece.
