Honestly what did in my interest in these kind of takes is when the identity politics became infused with the commentary. Nowadays it seems the only people making negative review videos are perfectly fine giving Hollywood reasons to dismiss valid criticism as just "anti-woke bullshit"

(I'm only talking about the things I wanna see on my feed, of course it's a good thing everyone can express opinion or elaborate a critical view of a movie or show or book or anything)

I have such little energy for the TV shows or movies that I don't like. I can't even be bothered to think of them, let alone dwell on why I hate them. Energy better spent thinking about shows that spark excitement.

Even if I didn't like a movie, I try to focus on anything good about it first, and I'm usually disappointed I didn't care for it. It's way more fun to tell people why you love an old favorite instead.

I likely would just stop watching if I didn't enjoy something. The only time I'll actively complain is when I genuinely care.
