6. Godzilla (2014) — Decided to finally check out the Monsterverse. And gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by this. There's a grand, near-reverent vibe to it all, reveling in the sheer size of these god-like monsters duking it out. Pretty decent human side for the story too.

Aside: I somehow went into this without knowing there'd be kaiju other than Godzilla. Thought the MUTOs were pretty neat. (Always nice to get new monsters.)
