Absolutely this. Deregulation was of course one of the underpinnings of Brexit - let’s convince everyone it’ll be great with big savings for the NHS etc and we can get away from ‘pesky’ EU regulations that protect its citizens.
The problem is they get mesmerized with cheap sound bites, oven-ready, etc!
I found the use of that term so dishonest at the time.,It hoodwinked many people.
