I feel this too. Found a bunch of CDs recently in an old box and spent the morning ripping them to FLAC, but some of them are broken and a lot of the bands I supported as a teen don't really exist anymore...

Been through this pain. You will eventually get the hang of it. Matching music to existing metadata usually saves a lot of time, just make sure that each track in multi-disc albums is registering as the correct one.

Loosing Google Play Music pushed me to build my own Plex server with my own music. The Plexamp app works great, and now I have a service for all of my music instead of it being hidden deep inside YouTube Music.
