When i got my flu jab at the pharmacist today, me having a daily asthma inhaler also qualified me for covid vaccine! So if you are eligible for flu vaccine via asthma and want a covid jab too, pharmacy might be best bet. GP has *only* sent me flu reminders.

My GP was the opposite when I got a “qualifying diagnosis” and called me for Covid vaccine (much to my surprise) within 2 weeks of me leaving hospital. The qualifying diagnoses are in table 3 here www.gov.uk/government/p...

Maybe I'll try a pharmacy too, I had my flu jab 10 days ago besides a great number of people getting both flu & Covid vaccine at my GP surgery. I use an inhaler too as well as having a number of other health issues, I've got a GP telephone consultation this afternoon & I'll chase it up then.

I'd booked the Covid vaccine with my flu jab which I qualify for due to asthma but was refused it at the pharmacy based on the guideline. Fortunately when I've had Covid (twice with symptoms confirmed by test) it hasn't affected my breathing in the way that flu has.

Interesting… our GP surgery clinic was offering both flu and Covid vaccines but pharmacy only offering flu.

It’s very pharmacist dependent- we tried that at the flu jab and the pharmacy where we paid for a Covid jab and both of them refused @sbisson.com a free Covid jab despite his having a daily inhaler for years. Green book is back to saying steroids or recent hospitalisation

Wow, I have asthma and COPD leaving me approx. 50% lung capacity and I only qualify on age grounds. I had hoped Wes might have tin tacked Jenny Harries and the rest of the useless band by now.

Being 65 or over, I had both at my GP surgery last weekend. A crowd of people, most pretty elderly, in a poorly ventilated space, albeit with all internal doors propped open. A guy in a high-vis waistcoat squirted sanitiser on everyones' hands. When the major concerns are three respiratory viruses.

I had my flu booster at my GP on Saturday and was expecting the covid one as well because I'm also asthmatic. The practitioner told me I wasn't eligible but sent a message to the GP asking for me to be re-coded into a different group. I'm in a very public facing role, I'm anxious.I had my flu booster at my GP on Saturday and was expecting the covid one as well because I'm also asthmatic. Discovered this a few years back and it was an absolute gamechanger. During 2021 when asthma was eligible for a flu jab from the GP but not a covid booster was such a weird time. Especially after asthma got mysteriously removed from the priority list at the last minute.
