Working Families Party hit me up to do the Progressive version of this which includes a photo of the sender on the postcard, so less ominous for sure. But we have to know who holds the original patent to make any sense of this, I'm sure. It could be an ActBlue vs WinRed situation but it's easy.
IDK what the GOP equivalent of the Reach App would be, or whether they had it first-- I don't even know if it's something widely circulated as opposed to used by campaign staffers exclusively. But the software exists to crowdsource data & even pool all registered voters in an apartment complex, etc.
I could definitely see someone's Trump supporting boss/landlord/family member just sending over a whole data sheet. I don't know what political consultancy firm came up with this, but I don't like it at all.
I think I know how this might be happening. Working Families Party just sent me a text asking me to join a postcard campaign where I can mail something like this on behalf of the Harris campaign. Basically, I think it's a counter to this because it sounds like this started 1st. Same method, likely.
