All this talk about Class of ā09 because of how terrible the Flipside did makes me want to make a fan game with a different cast and story that takes place in the mid-2010s but I doubt it would be interesting or spot-on if I tried.
Iām not gonna destroy it since it feels like a waste of money and itās a pet peeve of mine seeing stuff getting destroyed for no good reason. But SBN3 better realize that if he hates his fans, then he might as well hate his backers too because now I feel like I got this t-shirt for nothing, I guess.
Between SBN3 being exposed as a terrible human being, Class of ā09 collapsing due to the negative reception towards The Flipside, Iām not sure if I should either stash this Kickstarter t-shirt with my regrettable Club Penguin memorabilia or let it stay in my closet forever, as one of the backers.
I honestly lost interest in playing God of War on steam just because God of War Ragnarok isnt available in my country. Metal Gear Rising is also not available in my region since for fucking ever. And i always fear that some games id be interested just wont be available God i hate region locking.
Either way, the reception towards Class of ā09 The Flip Side will definitely deal a huge blow to the anime and to SBN3ās patreon regardless, unless something can be done to fix it, I wouldnāt recommend the third game for the triggers it brings up. The two games and anime short themselves are enough.
Iām at a loss for words at this, too. I would get it if Class of ā09 isnāt meant to have a happy ending, but The Flip Side amplified that like a hit in the gut; not with a fist, but with a spiked baseball bat instead. On top of rumors about the creator coming out of the woodwork too. Itās mayhem.
Iāll admit as someone who donated to SBN3ās kickstarter (I have the t-shirt to prove it), I enjoyed the last two games for how they were made, but I didnāt expect the third and final game to be too dark and twisted in an instant, rather than at a low level or slowly. Steamās gonna have a field trip.
After seeing Class of ā09: The flip side for myself and all the reactions to it, all I can say is:
