As for "Quintesson Leader," that's just the descriptor given to the character in the script. Well, to be precise, he's the "Lead Quintesson" in the scripts we have, but he'd become "Quintesson Leader" by the time the storyboards were being done up.
I've no idea if any of these terms were independently coined by others or were in use by fans before this, but I do know the Ark artbook used all of them about three years later!
Haha, you know, I DO. I cant PROVE this, but I think *I* might be responsible for them. 20 years ago, for fun, I mocked up an "Ultimate Guide" style page for the Quintessons and invented some names for the various types.
Oh its going to get so much worse
Mind you I did spend this morning reading Jim Lawrence and Larry Leiber's Captain Britain, and ANY narrative experience would have come off looking like Shakespeare after that drek.
Played all the other games on (3)DS and doing these on PS4, and I kinda struggle with visual novels on console vs handheld; probably part of why I took such a long break. Cleared up through Case 2 in a big long play sesh today, though, and had a lovely auld time, so yeah, I'm back in, baby.
Oh, I don't know, there's rumours about next year that might *just* tip him into Obscure Month 2025...!
I'm a-ways behind at the minute; as an avowed FF-head, I enjoy what the book is doing in the big picture, but I don't feel like North has the sound of the character's voices down, and it pulls me out of it at times.
"Don't you know what 'ther' means?"
