I read this graph had a serious methodological problem in that it assumed the same amount of lying by people at the very top of the distribution as others (apparently the number is derived by taking survey data then adjusting the numbers to square with actual sales)

For example the 1994 crime bill has been retconned to be a response to irrational hysteria… I think much of what was in that bill was bad policy but it was a response to very high crime rates

Many on the left are politically committed to opposing any solutions to increased crime so people are naturally skeptical of assertions from that faction that crime is low so nothing needs to be done about it…

I think total uptake is like less than 10% at this point so even this poll includes a lot of people claiming to be more pro vax than they are
