All I know is apparently Michael Bay is making a movie about that? Or something?
THAT ONE ESPECIALLY CONFUSES ME
I hope I can make it back to the U.S. at least once a year not only to visit family but to study/observe my own native language
But social media isn’t enough! I went back to Michigan in the U.S. this past summer and I sometimes came across phrases and words I’d never heard of, even online. I was very ??????
Part of the reason I spend time on social media in English is because I live in Japan and I am no longer exposed to slang. When you teach young learners that watch viral TikToks, some of them try to use that slang, and it’s important to know what’s going on, especially as a millennial myself 😅
…I mean, at least he’s for same-sex marriage. I can absolutely live without the Nippon Kaigi. Come to think of it, is there even a prominent LDP member who ISN’T with Nippon Kaigi? Sigh.
it explains why I have been SO tired. I haven’t been able to clean or do anything more than crash. I come home, I pass out, I wake up 8-10 hours later (with interrupted sleep because body wants to go to the bathroom) and I am STILL too tired to do anything more than bare minimum
so I went back to the doctor and it turns out I am SUPER anemic. like wow how are you even awake anemic. even worse than we previously thought. changing what I’ve been doing, have new meds, hoping I’ll be able to have a life where I’m not falling asleep at 8:30 pm (or even 7:30) 😅
An innocent Gen Zer recently asked the Daria Reddit community if people were REALLY that obsessed with diet culture and thinness in the 90s and 2000s, and oh, the expressions of raw Gen X and Millennial trauma that ensued
