A lot of the cargo between the Hawaiian Islands moves by barge -- I wonder if that's because the Jones Act requires US built ships for that service and we have more shipyards building barges and tugboats than building ships. It definitely looks odd in the open ocean.

The trains to San Jose literally run right under the BART tracks on their way. A transfer station isn’t trivial, but it’s not impossible.
They are proposing to build lots of stuff but they are not willing to consider new rail alignments or moving existing stations. It seems blatantly obvious that there should be one Sacramento and one Stockton station and a Fremont-area BART station served by all trains.
The Twitter app on my Mac gives me at least 4 ways to add a photo to a post. The BlueSky app (which is really an iOS app) gives me one that I can find — and it freezes every time I try to use it.
