And I’ve been focusing on singular episodes in a non-musical series and their relationship to post 9/11 ideas of authenticity and sincerity in a US looking for the ‘inner-most truth’ of people and how that reflects Romantic identity.

Wow, awesome. I have been coming at them through philosophy, namely Nietzsche, but also more generally with German Idealism. But then also getting into things like the medical discourse around spontaneous combustion and health.
