I want to go back and finish the two unfinished fanart pieces. August ended with too many distractions, too little time. One is rough idea for cyberpunkish, or "Compleated", Mumei. The other an Emrakul inspired Takodachi.
Still attempting the blur/painterly coloring, but I think I need to step back from that. Gave up trying to make it work before trying to color in the strawberry portion itself. Tried to keep the tentacles positioned to avoid having to draw the suckers.
Used bits from their video, www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8mO..., for reference. Maybe about two hours. Did it while watching episodes 1 and 2 from "For All Mankind" season 3.

With the timelapse, which doesn't post to BlueSky, it was the first time, I think, I broke the 30 second mark on these. The skyline and and theater were effectively traced. Studying the original, I got some ideas and practice on the shockwaves and the like.
Very sketchy, but it came out well enough that it brushes up against the point that leaves me wondering if I should keep working on it. At some point improvement means reaching the point where something new per day won’t work. I’ll have to start doing stuff over multiple days.
Clearly I missed a lot of the deeper commentary and the such. Dear god, White Base clearly needed a therapist, but I guess the lack of one is part of the commentary.
I remember thinking Kai might be a secret spy with how much of an A-hole he was. Now he just comes across as your generic Pennsylvanian.
Rubic’s Cube. Darn autocorrect.
Finished Gundam Narrative yesterday. I enjoyed it.
As far as I was able to track it back, I loosely referenced hisu_art’s (TikTok) Sukuna. The reference I used was mirrored though. There were a couple things I was aiming to practice, none of them were an attempt to faithfully adapt it as much as possible.
