🌱EmuBush and PotatoVine have survived Sonoran desert🌴 summer ALTtext

A large circular potato vine grows around and through a currently non-flowering emu bush, native to Australia. The entire yard is decorative gravel, it is about 7:00 a.m. in the morning. The shadow of the dead Queen Palm cuts across the potato vine, ceramic bird bath is in the back, left.

Have to appreciate how nature adapts. Purple Mexican petunia bush blooms are smaller when the heat is intense. See photo: they could be growing about 2 to 3 times bigger but not safe until the highest heat is less than 100° f. That hasn't happened in a while

Yard walking this morning on the ugly side of the yard. Probably my shadow on this scraggly looking bush with tiny trumpet shaped purple flowers. Mexican purple petunia bush all alone in a partly gravel cover ground with shade and sun across it and an ugly block wall behind it.
