Oh, wow. Frederic Jameson has died. I honestly can’t fathom the effect he’s had all over the world by bringing Marxist perspectives to the arts. And that’s an understatement. He shaped our understanding of painting, literature, aesthetic movements, history, and more. Thank you to him.

(Not to ignore the historical importance of spaces like Partisan Review. But FJ took it to a whole different level.)
