Really hate that feature that some social media sites have where it’s like “[Username] shared this with you!” If I wanted to share my username I would have. My alt accounts are between God and I.
I think my favorite period novel error is “wonton” when the author means ”wanton.” Is she a delicious soup, or is she merely horny?
Happy #PharmacyWeek to those who celebrate! 🥼💉💊
So it doesn’t matter. When Disney remakes TLK2, and Kiara, daughter of Simba, and Kovu, now an actual son of Scar, get together, the audience will say, “Oh it’s fine. Scar and Mufasa weren’t real brothers anyway.” No audience outrage. No loose ends.
So, in order to save themselves from a more, generally, toxic internet fandom culture, to get their “happily ever after” with Kiara and Kovu, Mufasa and Scar cannot be related. If they’re not related, then Simba and Scar aren’t related, which means Kiara and Kovu aren’t related: ergo, no incest.
We already know Kiara is in the movie. This means, at some point, Disney is going to remake The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride. And in order to remake that movie, Disney has to tie up some loose ends. Which means they have to change the story.
HOWEVER, The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride, did give its viewers some clarification on this. Turns out, Kovu isn’t actually Scar’s son. He’s just a cub that he took in and raised to be his heir. But…given Kovu looks the way he does…most people weren’t buying it. So, incest jokes.
And they ran straight into incest jokes. Since Kiara IS Simba’s daughter and IF Kovu is Scar’s son, then the two of them would be first cousins once removed.
