this is not a callout of anyone and I’m grateful they’re on the morally correct side of this but I keep seeing men being genuinely shocked about the idea of a state forcing a woman to give birth and I sort of just feel like …. the women in your life have been telling you it would come to this
And so have the trans men and the nonbinary people.
idk, it's obviously been about forced birth from the getgo. At least I THOUGHT it was obvious. It's just much more in-your-face than ever before.
A woman died in Poland two years ago after being forced to continue a nonviable pregnancy for no good reason. The same thing happened in Ireland in 2012 (mercifully, that latter case was enough to drive a constitutional amendment). We know where this leads. All that's shocking is the shock.
81%* of all 'Men' are too busy annoying Wimmin to listen ... *made up but probably accurate
If it does not directly affect them? They do not worry about it happening, until it does.
I also hate how they're making Terry schiavo comparisons, which feels like they still don't really get it 🙃
We told them and they said we were just being hysterical
I mean, they kept saying. 'no the law allows for medically necessary terminations' and Paxton just said "nope, it doesn't"
I literally remember men telling me I had nothing to worry about when it came to Roe. I hate being Cassandra.
They see us as collectively unreliable narrators: irrational, hysterical, deceptive, and too feeble-minded to accurately interpret the writing on the wall every time we take another long jump toward fascism.
