Well, it's 51 degrees outside but its supposed to get up to 70 something this weekend so my dear son doesn't think its worth turning the heat on yet. So it's 61 in the house. Thank goodness for the warm snuggly throws I've got. Wearing them like an extra skin today.

I am not worrying about the election. I'm doing what I can to get out the vote by tabling a couple of times a week in a nearby mini-mall.I will vote. In the meantime, I keep up with the news, read about the history of Constantinople & a futuristic novel about climate change. It's all good.

Why do people believe tripe like "you can't go to the hospital, all the rooms are taken by illegals," & "your kids can't go to school, they only take illegal aliens who can't speak English." Just go to one and check. Illegals taking over your town? Open your door and look around.
Tabling for the Dems yesterday at a Farmers Market, there was one guy who blasted past shouting about the evil Democrats and how we let millions of aliens take over the country - take over our cities. And this in a large square full of at least 85% white people. In a midwestern capitol city.
The leaves on my gray stick tree are now all yellow. Yellow leaves are sailing through the air all down the street. Going out barefoot to bring in the trash cans, I'm shuffling through dry leaves. It's currently 54 degrees. I'm happy!

Tabled to get out the vote today - high temp about 83, tomorrow high projected 64, then a trio of 50's. My kind of weather at last. And of course I've volunteered to table two days a week until the end. So that whatever happens, I can celebrate having helped or I know I did all I could. :)
