🤣 That's awesome that your uncle's a geologist! I'd totally be snooping on his stuff all the time I live in the Rio Grande Rift and realizing I could see the "lore" in the rocks was such a cool nerd moment. That class almost made me switch majors

most of what he does is civic planning rather than fieldwork unfortunately but he’s still got some pretty interesting stuff! oh cool!! there’s not a lot where i am (it’s flat and pretty much exclusively red clay) but whenever i’m back east i love looking for geologic points of interest!
