Thinking out loud. Spectacle is the wrong word in English, at least with the connotation of a dazzling or a visual phenomenon out of the ordinary.And with spectacles as a synonym for eyeglasses, implying to see clearly. Cf. Latin spectare....

It is more the society of the nuclear shadow, of the ghost limb. Of the mime unaware they are miming. Wittgenstein's fly in the jar, yes, but more. Or less. The fly in the jar that thinks it's an albatross soaring open seas.
