Love the show but he’s so gross it gets in the way of enjoying it. There’s slovenly and there’s disgustingly grimy with juvenile wind and fart jokes added - I feel I have to wash my eyeballs after watching him.

Yeah his character is so disgusting, I can see why it could get in the way.
