Hurricane Helene debris overwhelms Tampa Bay cities and haulers

There are several million cubic yards of storm debris in need of collection, according to a top Pinellas County official.

Some progress was made with trucks removing debris but there are many more scenes like this as Milton approaches. Not to mention the altered beaches, and therefore slopes to shore because of Helene. Compounding risks make any landfall grizzly, but a Category 4 storm is devastating.
