RACEHOS2.BMF

A jockey in a lavender racing uniform spurring on a powerful chestnut horse. The racehorse image appears at 5:29:58 in the underground cult classic “Clip/Art Film” (dir. Unknown, 2001, 1,445 minutes). The scene, which at a single second is one of the shortest takes in the film, always generates a burst of applause from audiences. The horse comes at the camera head-on, with a striking white blaze running from its forehead to its muzzle, and the combination of a quick cut, galloping hooves, and intense jockey astride the beast conveys a fleeting impression that the horse is not a still image, but a moving image, a horse in motion.
