I thought this section of VGWU’s rebuttal email was especially effective

Why spend so much money? The answer is simple: the administration would rather spend millions of dollars trying to convince us not to organize than risk having to negotiate with us as equals. Vanderbilt keeps saying that VGWU is a third party, but the only third party on campus is this expensive law firm Vanderbilt hired.
