24. Going back to where I said Ricky follows a more Romano-British tradition; in terms of his mythological basis as a character, I thought it would be fun to make him a Jupiter figure (with Katy as Mars and Wes as Janus Quirinus) - giving him a priest-king function arc.

25. In terms of Lovecraftian mythos, Ricky is subtly aligned (or at least, very loosely aligned) with the King in Yellow (yeah the play as well as the play's character), which I think is really apt on a lot of levels. Ricky does a mindsuck thing, loves reading, enters other dimensions, etc
