Polyphonic Spree is an unbelievable live show. Really wish they had a bigger audience

Went to a $15 radio show in 2004 where the bill ran (start to end) Paul Westerberg solo->Sonic Youth->John Cale solo->Patti Smith->P. Spree. Bulk of the audience left after Patti; they missed out. The theater incorporated house lights (including chandelier) with the Spree’s light show. Amazing.

I saw them at like 11:30 in the morning at coachella after, uh, a long night, with no idea who they were or what I was in for. I swear it's the closest I've ever come to joining a cult.

They performed a Free at Noon at XPN/WCL quite a while back and the date worked to take my kids (summer? holiday?) who were then choir singers. I thought seeing all those performers working together would be relevant to the boys.
