@harborhound.bsky.social#skyhounds and thank you to @gazehoundastrid for the code to collect Whippets Be and June (and me, their person) from the dumpster fire site. 13.5 year old Be—on the left— is comfort hound June’s mama.

Be the 13.5 year old black whippet relaxes on the sofa, ears up listening to what her daughter June is doing out of camera view.
June the white/blue brindle whippet is ensconced on a sofa cushion, a pillow and a sheepskin throw. June is the daughter of Be, both lovers of comfort.

That was my mom's doing. She raised us to know that nobody has the absolute truth, and that the only thing that never varies is that everything changes. Once it became evident that I'm prone to be mistaken, it became easy for me to keep an open mind. I thank you, though, for the way you delivered it

About being from anywhere, other than the fact that all of us have to deal with whatever is exclusive to where we live, to me all that nationality or place or residency stuff is overrated and irrelevant. Plus, I actually spend an inordinate amount of time in the US visiting and for work, haha.

Yup, my wife and I started looking this morning. I figured there'd be some good people out there willing to teach online to improve all our lives.

Ok, there's nothing I can do about that. Sorry you feel that way.

My mom had vascular dementia for 9 years before she passed away, hit me a few times (once with a cast iron cooking spoon), and I never raised a finger to touch her. So, based on that, I think I wouldn't, no.

And no, unfortunately there's nothing like that in my country (that I'm aware of). But it'll be a great subject to send to our government see if they start implementing it. I genuinely appreciate your candor without any finger-pointing. That's a trait that seems to be scarce nowadays.

Know what? That's a pretty good option as well. I don't think I'll ever have to do it anymore, the youngest one is already 9 and very well behaved (though a clown like his dad). But you're correct, that's way better than a slap anywhere. I thank you for bringing that option to my attention.

Again, don't know. I can't speak to stuff I've never experienced. I would hope none, but maybe you can shed some light on it.

I don't know, never had to do it. I'm assuming that one time and then let my wife handle it. Never been angry at my kids. Upset? Plenty. My kids understand that they are kids, and we know better, so they listen, and are listened to. So, again no idea. Would need to find myself in that situation.
