And THAT’s when you’re on that downswing, now that you’re more familiar with the process you have a better idea of what you COULD be doing but aren’t capable of yet, and that’s the period of growth when you need to draw with purpose and do eat-your-vegetables technical drills

But when you hit that phase of the process the drills don’t feel like boring work, they feel like exciting discovery, you’re doing the dungeon to get the new item that lets you climb a little higher. Doing comfort zone art every day is the level grind to prepare for that ascent.
