I love the parts of Berserk that are just like “we are in Hellraiser and the Phantom of the Paradise is here with a Mars Attacks Alien”
Berserk is probably the most critically acclaimed story that is just an author nakedly plugging all of his favorite things into it.
i feel that he also put in "faustian bargain is sparked so that a person can continue their dream" outside of the sick helmet.
Truly peak fiction I love it so much
