I was amazed when I learned the history of the ADA. It was a hard-won victory. People crawled up the steps of the Capitol to demand its passage.
nothing, and i mean nothing- there are no exceptions to this rule- that helps the most vulnerable in this place came without a brutal fight.
But even back then, the Republicans never missed a chance to screw with trans people, and explicitly excluded us. Same old, same old.

If you don’t have anyone in your life who relies on advantages / protections provided by the ADA, let me tell you, it’s near impossible how much harder it would be to navigate daily life in this country without it.
