Checking into the YMCA at Estes Park for the AOS: Staff: so, we have wildlife- Me: I know not to go anywhere near male elk in breeding season. I used to live in Montana & we’d watch the tourists nearly get themselves killed by the elk on the regular. Staff: (sighs) yeah, I do that every day here

I'm looking for a PhD student to join @weecology.bsky.social to study ecological forecasting using wading birds in the Everglades. The position will be focused on data science, time-series modeling, and forecasting. There will also be opportunities for field, drone, and computer vision work. 🌎
